Crates, cases and pallets built for each product you make, to your drawing number, heat treated for export and delivered across the UK.

Engineering firms are among our longest-standing customers. We make engineering packaging for hydraulic pumps and motors, valves and gearboxes, linear motion systems, castings and whole machines. Most of it is repeat work: a crate or case for each product model, built from a drawing, given its own product code and made in batches so it is there when your goods are ready to ship.

| Packaging | Typical use |
|---|---|
| Crates per product model | One kiln-dried, heat-treated crate for each pump, motor or valve size, built to the same spec every time |
| Long export packs | Rails, shafts and linear systems up to about 3.5 m, with tray and lid sets for the shorter lengths |
| Export cases in a size range | Valves and gearboxes, with options such as no bitumen paper where your spec asks for it |
| Castings crates | Small, dense crates for heavy castings, sized to the part |
| Machinery crates and bases | Bolt-down bases, skids and full crates for machines and plant |
| Jig, stillage and heavy-duty pallets | Work-in-progress pallets and 2400 x 1200 heavy-duty heat-treated pallets |
| Kit sets for vehicle builders | Pallet, collar and carton sets packed around seats, frames and assemblies |
| Stamped timber and dunnage | Heat-treated lengths and bearers for packing inside containers |
| How repeat work runs | What it means for you |
|---|---|
| One product code per size | Each crate, case or pallet has its own code, so reordering is a part number and a quantity |
| Your drawing and revision on the job | We build to the revision you give us and change it when you issue a new one |
| Set minimum runs and call-off | We build in economic batches and hold them for you to call off |
| Heat treated and stamped | Solid timber stamped FC0542 to ISPM 15, so the same pack works for UK and export |
Heavy bases and bolt-down fixing for machines and plant.
Crates for sea and air freight, stamped FC0542.
Plywood-clad crates for impact and weather.
Kitting, sub-assembly and packing to your work instruction.
The eight things that move a crate price.
Heat treatment and the FC0542 mark for wood packaging going abroad.
