Export Ready

Sectors we build for

Every sector packs differently. Here is what each one tends to ask us for, and what we build in response.

Defence and MOD

Heat treated export crates and cases to drawing, plywood and OSB, with foam or timber cradles cut to the equipment, marking and documentation to the customer's standard. Built on a secure single site.

Aerospace

Light plywood cases and framed crates sized to the aircraft pallet, foam-lined, moisture controlled, kiln-dried timber where weight counts.

Marine and shipbuilding

Close-boarded timber crates and skids for engines, gearboxes and propulsion parts, with bolt-down bases and lifting points for the yard crane.

Machinery and engineering

Heavy-duty bespoke pallets and skids that become the base of the shipping crate, sized to the machine footprint and its centre of gravity.

Energy and renewables

Long OSB and timber crates, up to 8 metres, for turbine parts, cable, pipe and valve assemblies going to site or to port.

Food, drink and agriculture

New pallets in volume to a consistent specification, kiln-dried where the product is sensitive to moisture, delivered on our own fleet to a schedule.

Electronics and instruments

Shock pallets and foam-lined plywood cases for test equipment, panels and instruments that cannot take vibration.

Distribution and e-commerce

Hybrid timber and board packaging, cardboard, wrap, strapping and void fill from one supplier, with stock held for call-off.

Exhibitions, art and events

Returnable knock-down crates with hinged lids and captive fixings that go out flat and come home to be used again.

What is common to all of them

  • Made in Bideford, Devon on one 300,000 sq ft site: timber in, packaging out
  • ISPM 15 heat treatment in our own kilns, stamped FC0542, for anything leaving the country
  • Design from your drawing, sample or dimensions, with a drawing back to approve
  • Repeat orders cut on CNC and optimising saws so they match the first
  • ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001; FSC® certified — licence code FSC-C226009
  • Own HGV fleet across the South West, dedicated carriers to the rest of the UK, any port or forwarder
